Brief
Create artwork and layout for The Wailers performing at White Rock.
Initially this was meant to be for Love On The Pier with The Wailers and special guests.
The event was meant to be held on Hastings pier, so the client requested for the pier to be quite prominent in the design.

For the mood board I took inspiration from the decorative features of Hastings Pier, summer sunsets, tropical Jamaica, and reggae vibes.
These were the initial concept drafts. Hastings Pier with its bright beach hut style cabins and flagpoles, adding a vibrant seaside character.
Because of the music style, I wanted to use reggae colours and create the feeling of a warm summer evening, with the sun setting over the sea.
I didn’t yet have the logos for the other artists and the venue, so I used placeholders.
The client chose the first option, but asked for the palm trees to be replaced by a mermaid, as the UK isn't very tropical.
