I was commissioned to create a oversized stylised floral design for bedding. They sent me the image in the centre of the mood board as their inspiration to which I added other ideas. They were set on using similar colours to their image.
After creating the mood board and discussing the direction with the client I created a variety of motifs and layouts from which they made their decision.
The final design was the most minimal version 6B, which was then developed into these three colour ways.
I think it’s important to showcase the design process here to highlight the steps a design process goes through, even when the final outcome appears simple and minimal.
